Traditional Painting Discussion

Hello those of you that still care about me, haha. I haven't been around much, I know.

But I'm thinking about getting into traditional art mediums, and.. I know absolutely nothing about art, you have no idea. I've been researching the different traditional artistic mediums online, but the Internet isn't helping me much today. And the library isn't open until Tuesday.

So does anyone know anything about oil painting? Not the pastels; the actual oil paint. Or know of any good oil painting websites or books?
Does anyone do oil painting, or any other kind of traditional painting?

Come on, spill your secrets! ;p I want to hear about your traditional painting stories/successes/failures/etc. It doesn't have to be oil painting either; if you do acrylics or pastels or something, tell me about it. :)

Thank you really much for the :+fav: !!! :) And why do you say that your work is "a bit of... eh"? I saw pretty nice concepts in your gallery, your understanding of the posture and move of animal forms, like birds, felines and canines, is amazing and you seem to have studied character design (at least to a small extent, or maybe through personal research, but still...) The only thing your work lacks is completion and this is up to you my friend... Come on! grab that stylus pen, or that brush, or whatever! ;)

I think that I may have been lacking passion for digital work, so I'm hoping to start working with traditional mediums and see how that goes. Hopefully I will enjoy it enough to actually finish something. ^^;
